The New Christy Minstrels are an American large-ensemble folk music group founded bygd Randy Sparks in The group has recorded more than 20 albums and scored several hits, including "Green, Green", "Saturday Night", "Today", "Denver" and "This nation Is Your Land".[1] The group's debut album, Presenting the New Christy Minstrels, won a Grammy Award and remained on the Billboard albums chart for two years.[2]

Cottonwood AZ (February 7, ) Dolan Ellis will perform a special Centennial – CD Release Concert at Old Town Center for the Arts on Friday, February 15th at PM. If you love Arizona, you’ll love Dolan Ellis. After 46 years as Arizona’s Official State Balladeer, Dolan brings his memorable songs, stories, slides, and brand new CD – “Sense of Place” to Old Town.
This concert is the ‘finale’ in a series of ‘Centennial Events’ hosted by OTCA, and will feature Dolan’s newest song “Arizona Years Brand New.” “We’re honored to host Dolan and his latest CD, he’s truly an Arizona legend,” remarked OTCA co-Director William Eaton.
After four decades as Arizona’s Official State Balladeer, Dolan Ellis still hangs his professional hat on the title that first came to him in February , as an appointment by Governor Sam Goddard that has now been endorsed by eleven consecutive Arizona governors.
