    Why this book: I’ve read and been impressed with three other biographies by Walter Isaacson, Benjamin Franklin, Steve Jobs, and Elon Musk.  Like everyone else, I’d heard of Einstein, but didn’t know much about him other than E=MC-squared.  I listened to rather than read this book 

    Summary in 4 Sentences:  This biography starts with what is known about his childhood and family, then his young adult life, 2 marriages, growing career and ultimately becoming a world renowned icon of theoretical physics. Isaacson does a pretty good job of explaining the physics and the various controversies around how sub-atomic particles react and are influenced, as he moves beyond the Theory of Relativity into Quantum Mechanics. Einstein becomes increasingly involved in world politics, fredsvilja, fighting anti-semitism and authoritarian governments after fleeing Nazi Germany and settling in the United States for the final 35 years of his life.
