[Muneeswarar or God like sage is a popular by God of Tamil Nadu. It is believed that when Lord Shiva got angry against Daksha, his father in law, he first created Veerabhadra, to destroy Daksha and muneeswaras to look after the beings of the earth. They are called Shiva Muni, Maha Muni, Thava Muni, Naatha Muni, Jada Muni, Dharma Muni, Pandi Muni, Easwara Muni and Vazha Muni. All of them are called Muneeswara. Some of them have fierce forms and others have peaceful forms. Munseeswara worship is popular in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Singapore and Malaysia. Achyuta Ashtakam
Achyuta is another name of Vishnu. Achyuta means "one who will never lose his
inherent natur and powers".
The name also means "immovable", "unchangeable", and as such is used for "the One
who is without the six transformations, beginning with birth".
