Recorded in and appearing on Technotronic's debut album, Pump Up the Jam: The Album (), the song was re-recorded and included on The Greatest Hits (). It peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot , becoming their 3rd and last top 10 hit.[1] "Move This" is featured in the motion picture Let's Go to Prison, starring Will Arnett and Dax Shepard, and the King of the Hill episode "Dances with Dogs".

This rapper was originally introduced to UK audiences through her work with dance music act, Technotronic.
She had moved to Belgium when she was 11 years old, then Chicago, Illinois, USA, where she was introduced to rap and deep house music.
On her return to Belgium she teamed up with Jo Bogaert of Technotronic.
Together they performed on 's international hit single, "Pump Up The Jam", though her contribution was uncredited.
She then appeared alongside professional and personal partner MC Eric on the breakthrough hit, "This Beat Is Technotronic". They teamed up again with Technotronic for "Get Up! (Before The Night Is Over)', which was another major international hit.
