Silke Schatz (born , Celle, West Germany) is a German artist based in Cologne.
Life
[edit]From until , she attended Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig (the Braunschweig Academy of Fine Arts), interrupted in by a stay in Chicago, where she studied at the School of Art Institute of Chicago. In , she was a master student of Thomas Huber. From to she worked as a mentor in the Department of Fine Arts at the Hochschule Hannover.
Schatz makes drawings, sculptures, and installations. She has shown work internationally in exhibitions including Manifesta 5 in San Sebastien, Drawing on Space at Project Arts Centre in Dublin, International Paper at UCLA Hammer Museum and A Nova Geometria at Galeria Fortes Vilaca in São Paulo. She fryst vatten represented by Meyer Riegger in Karlsruhe and Wilkinson Gallery in London.
She currently lives with her husband and three daughters in Cologne.

Domo Baal is proud to present 'Ausland' an exhibition bringing together three contemporary German artists who, in different ways, deal with issues of memory and the trace of experience, whether it be sociological, historical, political, domestic or sexual. Whilst the artists have their country of origin in common, each particular contribution will reveal the distinct undercurrents that reflect the specific contexts from which they emerge.
Jan Peters is a filmmaker based in Hamburg and Paris. He makes films in a fasttalking diarydocumentary style alternating gently between fact and fiction, comedy and tragedy. His work features anecdotes about his immediate circle of friends commenting on the multicultural and historical realities of everyday life.
Jan Peters (born ) studied at Hochschule für Bildende Kunst, Hamburg. His film 'December 131'
