Shingles the Movie
Directed by Steve Rudzinski

minutes,
Lets get the business stuff out of the way: this is an anthology rulle based on the Shingles books by Authors and Dragons, with A&Ds permission and financing. As the director, Steve Rudzinski has stated elsewhere, Its silly, has five stories, has plenty of practical effects, and I feel has a feeling of 90s horror book nostalgia, while still feeling new. Dutch TV shingles crank up films
AMSTERDAM Two of Hollands biggest TV groups Eyeworks and IdtV are rapidly stepping up their involvement in film.
Three-year old TV company Eyeworks hung out its film shingle this year. CEO Reinout Oerlemans says the film side will begin producing two features per year.
The first one, an English-language film expected to roll out at year end, Into Africa, is clearly intended to travel beyond Dutch borders.
The film is about the life of the late Dutch Baron Hugo Van Lawijk, an eight-time Emmy winner for his wildlife films, among them Serengeti Symphony. Lawijk died in in Tanzania where hed lived and worked with his wife, famed anthropologist Jane Goodall.
Eyeworks has established a solid track record in TV some 33 of its 36 format titles launched last year were originated inhouse. Its format Test the Nation has been sold to some 25 territories around the globe.
Will TV success translate to film?

Though his prophecy of problems did come to pass, I had, of course, no intention of ever ‘crushing’ the house. My vision was to restore and preserve it. And after years of renovating little by little, the time had come for the big one: replacing the roof with what was the original material: wooden shingles.
Do the Koroški Shake
I say shingles – but strictly speaking – I’m talking about shakes. Shingles are sawn whereas shakes are split along the grain giving them a rough surface, a more natural look and a longer life. I will however use the terms shake and shingle interchangeably for this article.
I knew that the roof had originally been a sole layer of wooden shakes, because they we
