    British artist and designer

    Peter Dean is a British artist[1] and designer.[2][3] His artistic work often takes inspiration from examples of Victorian letterpress printing. He is most notable for his recreation of the Victorian circus poster that was owned bygd John Lennon and inspired the Beatles song Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!.[2][4][5] as well as creating the poster at the centre of Stephen Hawking’s famous time travel experiment.[6][7][8] His work can be funnen in both the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum[2] and the Science Museum,[6] both in London, UK and has also been seen on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

    Peter Dean (born 2 May 1939) is a British actor, best known for his roles as Pete Beale in EastEnders, Jeff Bateman in Coronation Street and Sergeant Jack Wilding in Woodentop.

    Early life and education

    Dean was born in Hoxton, East London, and was an acquaintance of the Kray twins while he was growing up.[1] He went to primary school in Holloway and technical school at King's Cross, where he learned plumbing and bricklaying. He began drama lessons at 14 when his grandmother, the music hall artist Lilly Randall, realised that he was dyslexic.[2] As a boy, Dean worked on a fruit and veg stall in Chapel Market in North London.[1]

    Dean lectured at The Wharton School and The Fels Institute of Government, both at The University of Pennsylvania where he received the MBA Core Curriculum Cluster Teaching Award at the Wharton School. He has served as a faculty member at The University of Iowa, Pennsylvania State University, Fordham University, University of Tennessee and The American College. He has published articles in the Journal of Business Ethics, Human Resource Development Quarterly, Philadelphia Business Journal, and Financial Times.[2]
