Punjab police former intelligence chief Jatinder Aulakh to head PPSC
CHANDIGARH: Punjab police’s former intelligence chief and 1997-batch IPS officer Jatinder Singh Aulakh, who was selected by the Punjab Public Service Commission(PPSC) as DSP in April 1990, is now going to head the same commission as its chairman after clearance from Punjab governor Banwarilal Purohit on Wednesday.
The Punjab council of ministers on Wednesday recommended Aulakh’s name for the post of PPSC chairman and the file was cleared by the governor by evening.Aulakh, who superannuated as ADGP intelligence on January 31 last year after putting in 33 years of service, has been bestowed with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2022, Police Medal for Meritorious Services in 2011, Chief Minister's Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty in 2012 and three Director General's Commendation Disc in 2018, 2017 and 2010.
